Information About Admission

The college admission will be purely on MERIT BASIS. Only 600 seats are available in 1st semester out of which 500 seats are reserved for students of catchment area and 100 seats for non catchment students. Students of catchment area securing 40% and above in AISSCE will be eligible to fill up the form for admission & students of non catchment area having 45% and above can fill up the form for admission.

After scrutiny of forms 600 (500 + 100) qualified/selected candidates name will be listed out and final admission process will start after that.

NB: College admission date is notified with accordance to academic calendar.

Eligibility for Admission

B.A/B.Com first semester

The minimum qualification for admission will be:

1. Passed AISSCE (10+2) or any other equivalent Examination with 40% marks (for catchment area students) & 45%( non catchment area) of five papers and English as Compulsory subject as such recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University.
2. Students who have passed with 40% marks in AISSCE (10+2) in Science/Arts with mathematics/economics/statistics as one of the subjects or an equivalent examination recognized as such by Rajiv Gandhi University shall also be eligible for admission into the B.Com programme.
3. Open School Passed students are also eligible for admission but they must have secured the required qualifying Marks i.e. 45%.
4. There will be no Provisional Admissions for Compartmentally Class-XII passed students. Their admissions will be considered only after the Declaration of Compartmental Examination Results (given they have secured the qualifying Marks and availability of seats).

B.A/B.Com third semester

Admission criteria will be the Passed or passed with back paper in B.A/B.Com 2nd Semester from Rajiv Gandhi University.

B.A/B.Com fifth semester

A student can opt for major in any one of the elective subject taken opted from first semester to 4^th semester, provided that he/she should have passed or passed with back paper in 4^th semester of BA/B.Com.

ONCE A STUDENT IS ADMITTED, HE/SHE WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THEIR SUBJECT COMBINATION AFTER THE START OF SESSION; 

therefore, students are directed to opt carefully the subjects they want to pursue during the time of admission.

Documents Required for Admission:

B.A/B.Com 1st (Semester)

1. Class-X Pass Certificate (original) with two photostat copies duly attested
2. Class-XII Pass Mark sheet (original) with three photostat copies duly attested
3. 3 passport size & 2 stamp size photographs (for APST) and 3 passport & 1 stamp size photographs (others) with name and class written on the back.
4. Transfer certificate (original) from the Head of the Institution last attended.
5. Character Certificate (original) from the Head of the institution last attended.
6. S/T Certificate (one Photostat copy duly attested).
7. Migration Certificate (original) for students coming from outside Arunachal Pradesh/Open School

B.A/B.Com 3rd Semester

1. Mark sheet (2nd Semester) with two Photostat copies duly attested.
2. 3 passport size & 2 stamp size photographs (for APST) and 3 passport size & 1 stamp size photographs (others) with name and class written on the back.
3. S.T Certificate one Photostat copy duly attested.
4. Registration Card one Photostat copy duly attested.

N.B:

1. Incomplete application and documents will be summarily rejected. 
2. Candidate seeking admission should be present in person before the admission committee.
3. The Principal reserves the right to admission.

In a bid to encourage the meritorious students, Donyi-Polo Govt. College, Kamki has decided to institute awards & recognition as follows:

Instructions to fill the questionnaire

1. Principal’s Meritorious Award: The overall topper of DPGC, Kamki in the VIth Semester result shall be be awarded the Principal’s Meritorious Award which will carry a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand), Trophy and a Citation or Certificate.
2. The topper of each teaching department in VIth Semester result shall be felicited with a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- (Two Thousand) each, Trophy and a Certtificate.
3. The overall topper in IInd and IVth Semester shall be exempted from paying the college fees during admission to next higher class.
4. The ward of Martyr, if any, shall also be given such exemption.

These awards will be given away during the Freshers Meet annually in presence of all the students and parents/guardians of the award winning students. This has been decided in the meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), DPGC, Kamki.

Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC) DPGC is conducting a Student Satisfaction Survey regarding Teaching – Learning and Evaluation, which will help to upgrade the quality in institutional education. A student will have to respond to all the questions given in the following format with her/his sincere effort and thought. Her/his identity will not be revealed.

About Our College

With a view to fulfill the aspirations of the people and the intellectual requirements of the students of West Siang District, Donyi-Polo Government College, Kamki was established in 1996. Situated amidst the lush green placid surroundings on the western bank of the river Yomgo, at a distance of 25 km from Aalo. The College is named after the Almighty Sun and Moon, whom the inhabitants of the region regard as the symbol of Supreme Reality. About 1.5 km from the Hiru Bridge on the Aalo – Mechukha BRTF main road, the College Campus is magnificently spread over an area of 103.7 acres of vast open land that really bestows a breathtaking panoramic view, ideally suited to academic and social life of the campus dwellers.
